Alistair is an experienced psychologist with a background working in Community health, drug and alcohol and private practice settings. Alistair completed his Masters of Psychology at Monash University in 2006, and is endorsed as a Counselling Psychologist with AHPRA.

Alistair has an empathic, collaborative style based on a belief in the power of the therapeutic relationship to assist people to transform change. Alistair believes that each of us has the resources within us to enact the changes we may need towards our self-development and growth. Therapy can act as the catalyst for greater self-awareness and empowerment towards shifting unhelpful and frequently unhealthy patterns of relating to self and others, in the service of finding more fulfilment and meaning in our lives.

Alistair works with adults and draws on a variety of therapeutic approaches, catering to meet the individual needs of clients with the use of evidence-based practices. These approaches might include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, EMDR and Mindfulness techniques. Within this, Alistair holds a therapeutic framework that incorporates psychodynamic and attachment based principles, with an emphasis on the capacity for earlier life experiences to shape the present.
